Kauke’s media enhanced classrooms

The newly renovated Kauke hall has 20 media enhanced classrooms which host top of the line a/v equipment including a data projector, DVD/VHS combo player, amplifier and in some rooms a document camera. Each device except the document camera is setup and connected through a courtesy panel in each room. This pixie control panel supports all the key functions of each device so once the media is inserted, it can be manipulated through the panel.

Classroom a/v setup

Today we looked at the setup of the media enhanced classrooms and the different features each classroom is equipped with. These features include VGA/RGB + 8th inch audio connections or computers, RGB and RCA connections for DVD and VHS players via cables or a courtesy port. Some classrooms have a Creston infrared remote which controls all the a/v devices in those rooms.
here’s an overview of the things we looked at in each classroom and the possible difficulties faculty or students may have.
